Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is a high-performance semi-crystalline engineering plastic that can be classified into multiple grades based on filling methods, such as pure PPS, glass fiber reinforced PPS, mineral filled PPS, and carbon fiber reinforced PPS. While the properties of different PPS grades vary slightly, they all exhibit outstanding high-temperature resistance (220 °C–240 °C). PPS maintains stable mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy under high-temperature conditions. It also has excellent chemical resistance, with strength and rigidity close to certain aluminum alloys. It is commonly used for machining functional parts requiring high precision, complex structures, and corrosion resistance. Regarding CNC machining, PPS offers good machinability with overall stable cutting performance.
