ABS is a thermoplastic engineering plastic made from a coordinated combination of three monomers, which provides a very practical balance between strength, toughness, processability and cost. Its outstanding features are good rigidity and excellent toughness, and has a strong impact resistance, suitable for structural stability and impact resistance requirements of the parts. However, the strength of ABS is not high in many engineering plastics, and it is not suitable for high load or high fatigue conditions. Meanwhile, the heat resistance and weatherability of ABS are average, and it is more suitable for use in room temperature, indoor or non-harsh environments. In terms of machining, ABS has good machinability, stable CNC machining process, and is not prone to obvious sticking or pulling problems during the cutting process.
