Aluminum 6082 is one of the most commonly used high-strength aluminum alloys in the 6000 series, regarded as the “European equivalent of 6061.” It is the preferred material for heavy-duty structural profiles and finds extensive application in construction engineering, rail transit, and shipbuilding. Aluminum 6082 also offers excellent extrusion and welding capabilities, coupled with good corrosion resistance.
